It would be nice to be able to export selected tracks (we can as of Live 9) with the returns mixed into each individual track, like you would get if you exported each track individually.

^^THANK YOU FOR THIS. I had been looking everywhere for how to get my beloved FF1 back.
For those doing this- save to your Core Library folder, and double click in a windows explorer window, and it'll open in Ableton. Then hit 'save' and it will save to your presets folder.

The Eiosis ELS Vocoder gets some great results. Of all that I've tried, it sounds the most like hardware, the easiest. You basically can just drop it on a track and use the built in modulator, or you can route a VST to it as well
