I'm using version 8 of ableton, perhaps this function is available now in 9, I don't know. I have found a work around which is ok. 1. Highlight the region you'd li...

Other brands to consider PSI, Amphion. Find a way to test in your room before you buy and take your time.

Remember that lowering a fader may prevent an overload on the master bus but has no effect over redlining plugins on individual channels. Another thing: so many plugins nowadays are (close o...

Re: Live 9.2 wish list (I know this soon?)
Apply fades to all selected clips in arrangement view in one shot. Please: it's killing me to be compelled to do it clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip after clip aft...

Re: Placing Your Tracks (your techniques)
I do it in the mix, using pan pots on individual tracks. The sense of space, depth and width is better achieved using panning, reverbs, delays, volume and good frequency distribution. If I have to use a stereo widener for some reason, my choice goes to Sonalksis Stereo Tools (not more than 130% usua...

Your point about quantisation of clip triggering is a good one which I missed. Can feel like latency.

Re: Experienced with production, Ableton Live Noob. Questions
1. Correct. Think of session view as a jam pad, whereas arrangement view is the traditionnal linear timeline approach common to almost every DAWS. They can be totally independant, or combined (i.e. you can trigger clips in session view to try out ideas/combinations of sound while tracks in arrangeme...

Re: RENDERING ISSUE....Poor Quality
I'm curious though. I have music in my iTunes from other non-professional musicians who make stuff on Ableton. Why is it that there stuff sounds alright on my iTunes before I uncheck those sound preference settings? It sounds better after un checking those preferences, but still, even before, they ...

Ever heard of m/s (mid/side) processing? I reckon that's what you're after.

Re: Can i use this cable between my monitors and audio interface
It will work perfectly. I'm sure you can find similar cables in your local music store if you want to save €. just write down the specs.
