the fact that this is not implimented yet is the reason that i do not use Live as my main audio sequencer.

I can do it with my DM2. :D
It lets me set multiple params per button or knob. so.. i switch it to 1, assign it in live, switch it to 2 assign it in live, and so on... then i just go back and assign the knob to 1 and 2 at the same time.

and poof... now when i turn that cheap plastic mattel(tm) made ...

yeah... i have been eyeing the UC-16 for a while now...
currently i have been useing a hacked DM2, i also have a keystation 49 but thats to big to gig with, and i need pots not keys. so the UC-16 would probably be perfect for me... and within my price range. the 33 looks sweet tho... its to bad its ...

I could really use a minimal GUI mode because the resolution of my laptop stinks. I constantly use hotkeys to hide everything im not adjusting so that I have more slots visible in the session view.

The full screen option was a big step in the right direction. But there is still about 100px both ...

in the emi 2/6 manual it states that you might have this problem if your computer outputs not enough or "dirty" power through its USB.

it recomends using an AC adapter for the 2/6 if this happens. specifically the AC adapter made for the 2/6, as i think the use of any other power adapter voides ...

i just got a EMI 2 6 and saw this so i thought i would try it.

with the added text file i was able to get my playbck latency down to wicked levels.

however... for recording it made things worse... i got dropouts at all settings.

funny.

but it kicks ass for only playback.

It all depends on your price range. But you should be able to get by with very little if its a PC you are after.

Just because DX isnt on Mac doesnt mean that it should be ignored.
There are some great DX plugins for PC that many users would love to be able to make use of in Live.

continuous values, not just single, on/off switches = yes

you can use the dm2's "scratch" wheels, fader, and XY joy thinngy to give continuous outputs...

you can also map buttons to give different values for a certain continuous channel..

eg. i can set 3 buttons as 3 different values for a ...

doesnt Fruity Loops have something to make an Image into Audio?
i havent used it in years... but i am pretty sure it does.
