i own an m-audio trigger finger and i used to launch recording tracks.
my problem is that when i record, i have to push and hold down the damn pad
or else it'll stop recording and start playback. What paramaters do i need to

i'm not aware of a command to arm the selected track. if you can't have separate keys/midi for arming each one, some people leave them all armed at all times.

i was reading about the release of macs Boot Camp wherein you can use Windows software with your Apple computers... WOW.. are there downsides of doing this? i'm definitely buying a mac if it's as good as they say it is.

its pretty simple, some would use dummy clips for convenience's sake and if your gonna use it frequently ... but since you're new, i suggest you use clip envelopes first. the first you'd do is to drag the effect you want on the FX window. then view the clip (shift+tab) you want to play around with ...
