hi ya
just to add,i have one of the logitech trackball mouse varieties and the scroll works a treat for file browsing etc but the parameters of the instruments/clip settings/fx/levels etc dont seem to respond to the scroll wheel and it takes a L click/drag trackball movment to adjust these settings ...

how about transient beat detection of imported wav`s to make life a little
easier when setting up a tracks whose recording medium was a bit randomly fluctulating (casette) in tempo

hello just a note on the 6 pin firewire thang.
I almost got a gateway m505x centrino just b4 xmas and b4 leaving the usa.
Now this has the 6 pin (dunno if it`ll power your peripherals) and the slot loading dvdr/cdrw (like a powerbook) and a half decent hard drive (toshiba 60 gb 5400 rpm/16mb cache ...

i think its great that abletons implemented a key range to each midi
channel,now in real time we can control pitch of a clip by pressing a
key on the keyboard instead of mouse tweaking the transpose.
How bout they take it a stage further and allow each clip slot to have
a setting for velocity; then ...

i`d like to know what legato mode has to do with it,am i missing something?
as far as i can tell legato allows you to jump to another sample on the same track with the newly played sample playing from where the old one left off rather than it playing from the begining (make sure snap is set to 0)

hello plain `n` simple workflow request
in the arrange view once loop has been established ready for a render
plz allow the `play from` line to represent the sample start point in da loop.
ie to make it work just as a render does in the clips,session view.
