slower tempo duplicate rendering?

this has happened twice now in the past two nights...

1. make a duplicate set, do minimal editing
2. render
3. the copy tempo is discernably slower.

Please try this and tell me I am imagining....

thanks,

j.

I would be happy to be proven wrong, but I thought Minidisc players are incompatible with OSX ( the USB connection is not read?)

Either way, before buying I would read this whole thread, in macmusic.org :
(In the Agora forum, search for "Mini Disc Recorder Suggestions?")

I believe Apple and Sony ...

As a footnote to this thread, I did buy the T-Racks plugin and I am pretty happy with what it can do to my Live sets....Still, it is a lot of work to reach that 'just right' stage, and I sure wish I could just get back to making music.

And as I think Hoffman2k was implying, it is probably ...

thanks am for the encouragement.

my note-taking is already rather extreme, and I am beginning to lose track of what needs to be done to what....

I guess what I am looking for is some monitoring that will somehow be compatible with most of the Jones and Smith's speakers out there, and strangely ...

mastering quagmire

This might be verging on being an incredibly dumb question but here goes nothin' --

I have been trying to master a demo for about two weeks now (using the T-Racks plug-in), and while it has been mostly successful, I finally realized that my ancient Sansui speakers are a bit shot.. and I don't ...

I agree that the above suggestions are good, and you might want to also make use (if you use OS X) of native Apple niceties like stickies and color coding of folders. After yet again suffering the chagrin of deleting the wrong files I finally began coloring amuck (green/live set, blue/track, etc ...

While I can well understand by now why Reaktor is called 'bloatware', I think the synth selection offers great variety and 'value for the dollar'. Sure, some instruments and effects seem to crash as soon as you press a key, but what you have left over (Carbon, Uranus, GoBox et al. ) makes it well ...

Well I doubt the Reaktor update has Live users at the top of their agenda, but this is a Reaktor forum quote (dated 7/20) from Julian Ringel, the new Reaktor product manager:

"So my first action is to tell you that there will be an 4.1.3 update of Reaktor soon. It will fix the redraw graphic issue ...

Vercengetorex is right, and I bought the plug-in two days ago. I believe that RTAS is an option in the custom install.

Hey Vercengetorex, I'm fairly pleased with what the AU/VST can do, but as always, CPU overload in Live remains an issue. Since this is my first foray into the daunting task of ...

I"m having more or less the same problems, but a little better luck with the synths. I try to bounce as much as possible to audio tracks and save the set often.

I believe there will be a Reaktor update next week which might help.

I have a feeling this has been brought up already, but I think it is related -- what about the 'arrow' on top in the arrangement view? Did it not follow along during play? As Loophead said, now you have to enlarge the whole thing and go back to the beginning to retrieve the arrow. Small detail, but ...

t-racks 24 is the stand-alone, $100 cheaper than the plug-in (at least on the IK website, if you are patient you can get a better deal by shopping around online).

i'm not that patient, and based on mrruby's 'more versatile' comment, i think i'm going for the plug-in (after trying the demo and ...

the demo seems to run fine, but i have yet to decide if they work well together.

if someone does think they work well together, could you also say why you prefer it to the standalone?

thanks again -- of course I had to try the freebie first, and unfortunately the fishbones only seem to have one plug-in for OSX. nonetheless it might be the answer, although i will have to work with it more this weekend. tracks-24 seems good as well, but i'm getting a good reading on my irony meter ...
