I hadn't any problem like just you said? the live 2.01 works well on my environment so I think it should be found some hardware consistent problem on your system.
I think you can try to using the preview version instead the current one .\

Just a little advise

I never heard the pre-amplifier vst plugin in the MAC os x . What audio software you are using. The logic audio???? The mac has its own plugin syntax witch is called au~~@@ I forgot whole word sorry~ . So how can you use the vst in the mac system????

I am considering to buy a second monitor too! I just satisfed with the PS6 and truth 2031(made by beringer)either . Both of them a best sound and the 2031's amplifier can support more power and It's sub-speaker is 8.5ch measure so I think it's bass effect will better than the ps6,but the ps6's ...
