Ah ? Didn't think about that. Thought there was this kind of sounds in disco too...

These old disco/funk vocal samples reworked for house/techno

Hi everybody, For a few months or year now, I would like to add some kind of vocals to my tracks (mostly techno/house with some Detroit flavour) but I am facing a few problems. I am speaking about those "woman screams" which are common in this style. Exemple : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC6sOXn...

That's the one I use the most for the stabs (these are some random settings as I took the image from google images)
I tried every idea I had but couldn't get what I am looking for.

Is this synth too simple?

Re: How to give more life to my stabs

Sylenth or massive will get you there, as long as you draw in super short chords. Not a lot is done with a LFO. Ive seen a guy throw a vocoder on his stab chain and it worked well. There are few good tuts on YouTube if you look. Personally, I have been using Hive more than Sylenth lately. The only ...

Re: How to give more life to my stabs

Rather than buying more FX, I'd recommend simply working on learning how to create more dynamics in your mix using the tools that Ableton already offers. People resort to spending $$ on fancy toys before ever really understanding the magnificent FX devices already inside Live. They are fantastic! I...

How to give more life to my stabs

Hi everyone, As you may have noticed it with my nickname, I am a techno producer ! :) I would like to give more life to some of my tracks which are mostly based on some stabs. The perfect example of what I am looking for is the legendary "Groove La Chord" from Aril Brikha ! ( https://www.youtube.com...

Re: NI A6 - TR-8: Audio Signals (Input) are really quiet in mono

SOLVED : I am really ashamed ... The problem was the master output. I am only using one speaker right now as I am lacking of cables and I the master output was "1/2" ... I just put to 1 (or even 2) and the sound is now OK.

Sorry for disturbing you guys :)

NI A6 - TR-8: Audio Signals (Input) are really quiet in mono

Hi everyone, Here is my configuration : - Ableton 9 - Mac OS X El Capitan - Native Instruments Audio 6 (USB) - Roland TR-8 (USB) - A few midi controllers (Push, Akai APC40 and Akai MPK49) I was using my TR-8 on Ableton (through USB) using an "Aggregate Device" that I created on OS X (made with the i...

Bleep/Modulated ambient sounds (to be used in house/techno)

I couldn't find any tutorial or tips about that kind of sound but I am not even sure this is the right word for what I am tryi...

I think Saunderson sampled it from some old tune... I am really looking forward to build the sound from scratch...
