Hi
I try to connect my Android Tablet to my Mac.
I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab running Android 4.0.3 and a new Macbook.
I installed OSC Bridge and touch OSC on my Tab.
Now I cannot connect my Tab to my Macbook?
Can anyone direct me to a step by step guide or help me?
In Ableton prefs I can select ...

Tips for Android midi controller?
Hi there,
I got a Mac for performing live and an Android Tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab).
I've tried Touch OSC, but you cannot export customized layouts from a Mac to an Android device - which is crucial to me.
Any advise for a midi controller + editor running on mac, being able to synch with android ...

Re: Which sound card to start using Ableton Live
word! I started myself using a crappy PC and my old DJ headphones
it's better to wait spending a lot of money on gear until you know what exactly you want and can do instead of ending up with stuff that does not match your needs.
You're welcome, have fun with your music

Midi track sounds different than the same track recorded
Hi I need advise,
I play a software synth raw, without any FX, compressors etc. on a midi track. It sounds the way I want it to.
Now I render or record it to an audio track.
Now, when I play the recorded sound in the audio track it is much more quiet, and lost dynamics.
What am I doing wrong?

Re: Which sound card to start using Ableton Live
Hi Balonny,
Two basics if you want to 'record':
- any sound you generate in your computer/ableton can be recorded without any loss in quality.
- any sound you generate outside (via external hardware or instruments) will need a link to your computer - a soundcard.
So forget about the soundcard ...

Re: best/easiest way to build up a live set?
it's a dummy clip.
create an audio track.
Insert the FX you want to use (e.g. a delay)
Insert an empty audio sample (no sound, just flat data).
Copy it.
rename it e.g. delay.
Open the envelope option of this sample ('E' on the very bottom)
In the upper drop down menue you can choose this delay ...

Re: best/easiest way to build up a live set?
Hi Kingguzz,
above all I keep a live setup as simple as possible -> scene view only.
I use an apc 20, a Nocturne, Maschine and sometimes a hardware synth.
My aim is being able to set up on the empty turntable while the last vinyl of the DJ is still playing: 10 minutes and 1sqm to set up.

Re: launch / trigger Maschine clips from Ableton
Thanks,
I figured it out an hour after I wrote this question...
Thanks a lot for your reply.

launch / trigger Maschine clips from Ableton
Hi
I got a problem with Maschine, and hope you can help me?
When I program beats in Maschine, I do so and then drag the Midi files from Maschine to Ableton.
There I got a channel with midi to and from Maschine, and so I trigger the sounds in Maschine just like in any VST plugin, and that works ...
