Sorry I didn't read the post correctly... I was thinking of editing more in the way Smart Objects work... e.g. open a track up into a completely new project, edit it and save it, which then renders the audio back to the flat track in the project above it...

Does that make sense?

Did this feature ever get implemented? If so, what is it called?

I'm working on a remix track, and I'm going through all the instruments in the Live Devices to find ones that I think I can use on the track. However, I don't want to use all of the ones I've found right away. Is there a way of bookmarking instruments, so I can come back and retrieve them ...
