You could flatten the track, right? That'll just render a copy at project tempo I imagine. Just remember to turn off any effects and shiz that you don't want.

Well, that's good. I was getting bummed out that it didn't seem like you could easily create a submix of say, all your hats, and compress those together.

It still begs the questions though: why is the "audio to" box in the inline mixer if you can't do anything with it?

I always want to do this with cpu-heavy softsynths: just freeze the synth, not the fx.

Placing subsequent fx on a separate track definitely works, but it's not very elegant.

Can't you create and save asd files with your clips even in the demo version? If you didn't want to waste an unlock?

Yeah, check to make sure that you have delay compensation on, if you have any plug-ins on the master that might cause latency.
