I am having exactly the same problem here.

I'm trying to get a Nord G2 Modular and 2 electribes to receive program changes from Live.

I spent the last week reading manual and various forums on this subject.

And now I'm having Sync problems just like all the other owners of the above on this forum... Midi Clock rubbish... Thinking of going back to Logic Pro (sorry Ableton people)

i own and use extensively a ER-1 and EA-1 and they are both great machines.

Totally agree. I used to always only use software synth, but then my friends got me ER and EA for my birthday. And they totally changed the way I think about making music.

The 2 little things are made for each other ...
