I would like to visualize all of ableton´s track levels on the encoders´ LED rings of my midi controller in order to get a visual feedback of which tracks are currently delivering audio output.

As for now, I always have to look at the computer monitor to make sure i am changing the correct ableton ...

Now is there any expert around who could describe how to work this out with MAX4LIVE?

Don't know if it's what you are looking for, but I used a while ago Noisebud MidiVU (Beta version) and it worked fine together with my BCR 2000.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. However, is there also a generic approach for this issue? This would as well work with other midi controllers, taken that they also have LED encoders that can respond to incoming MIDI messages ...

thanks a lot for your hint, but I have tried this already. if i do this, the vst-effect entirely disappears from the vst-effect-list in ableton. only by renaming it back to "psp 84", i can make it reappear.

i have a midiclip in ableton live, which i do not only want to be played back, but is also to receive and forward midi-controller-changes from its midi-in to the selected midi-out-device.

actually i want to make live behave as if i was recording the midiclip (then i have all i want), but without ...

As this feature is not natively supported by ableton live, this would mark a top issue on my personal live-wishlist for future versions!! :roll:
