Re: effects on a clip HELP
There are many ways to achieve what you want, also depending on the effect you want to use. So what effect are you trying to automate in the clip? I can probably guide you through it

Re: Poor quality WAV export
ok it's definitely not the first option cause I always export without dithering, but I'm really gonna try the second one, see if anything is clipping (I thought not, but I'm gonna check it). I'll also try exporting it without any mastering chain at say -3 or 6dB and then master (crank it up) in a ...

Re: White Noise with pitch?
Ok, it's not exactly the same as the autosave sweep, but here's what I made in aprox 10 minutes (you can turn of the lfo if you like, but I thought it sounded alright)

Re: what i “think” i know about bit depth
This actually explained a lot to mechapelier fou wrote:When you look at a waveform, if you zoom in at the max, you'll see it's in fact segmented. Think the bit depth as the minimal step in the Y axis, while the sample rate is the minimal step in the X axis.

Re: Poor quality WAV export
Are you listening to the rendered file in Live? Do you have warping on for that rendered master? If so, turn it off.
No I'm listening to the rendered file in any random audio player such as quicktime, itunes, winamp you name it. I don't import the rendered file again in Ableton to master it. The ...

Re: White Noise with pitch?
This is alot better example

26 secs to 40 secs.
This might be more clearer as its during an intro.
Allright I see what you mean. Keep in mind that you hear multiple sweeps in that particular part. There's one sweep in the front which is just a white ...

Re: Poor quality WAV export
lol, well lots of eq'ing on every channel gives a satisfactory result on the master. I'm sure there are lots of examples which sound far better and fresher than the result I manage to reach3phase wrote:really? how do you manage that?Alano Tekashi wrote: And within Ableton, it sounds great and the sounds are clear and fresh.

Re: Poor quality WAV export
What db is the main output peaking at in Live?
What does the peak meter say, is it red?
Nope, even without the mastering chain on it, there's no clipping. On the mastering chain are an EQ, compressor and a limiter. So it's not in the red. After the export it doesn't sound like it's clipping ...

Re: White Noise with pitch?
Frankly, I don't here the white noise pitching up. The white noise just raises in volume. The pitching sound is a block wave form stab kinda think which is raising in pitch

Poor quality WAV export
So here's my problem.
I got my track produced, eq'ed, mixed and mastered in Ableton. And within Ableton, it sounds great and the sounds are clear and fresh. But when I export it, the quality is shit. The exported wave file just loses all its dynamics and sounds totally different from what I hear in ...
