multiple outputs (and multing those outputs)
hey can someone tell me if this is possible, and how?
i have 20 tracks that i want to send to the master AND to physical outs of my audio interface.
possible?
the only way i´ve thought of is to use return tracks routed to individual hardware outs, but there aren't enough of them available ...

midi routing (through effects)
I've got midi tracks feeding a multitimbral synth, the synth has midi effects on its own channel, before the plug-in. however, midi from the triggering tracks doesnt seem to pass through the midi effects on the host track.

Re: midi ch. 2 IN still going to midi ch. 1 inside of plugin
thanks for your reply.
i am setting kontakt up multitimbrally now with several midi tracks addressing the vst (au). now what is happening is that whichever other channel i use it will trigger that other channel but also trigger channel 1.
strange. ?

multitimbral midi data on one track?
is it possible to record a clip with notes on midi channel 1, then overdub with notes on midi channel 2 and have them saved as such, sending data on both midi channels to a plugin on that track?
thanks,
Kurt

Re: midi ch. 2 IN still going to midi ch. 1 inside of plugin
i want to setup kontakt with four differnt bass sounds set to listen to four different midi channels and address them separately by changing the midi channel from my controller. is this not possible? it seems no matter what channel i send to the plug it just reroutes it to channel one!

Re: recording Live, Live
This is incorrect. You can set the MIDI output of the second track to drive the same instance of the V.I. as the first track either by sending the output directly to the same MIDI IN port on the V.I. or sending it as a Track In to the first track (set Monitor to IN).

Re: recording Live, Live
i just wish it would record through the same track onto the same track. i mean before you hit that record button the tracks output IS summing clips and input, so why doesnt arrangement record just record THAT?
hopefully this will be a feature update at some point.

Re: recording Live, Live
maybe I'm missing something here, but why don't you just use two tracks? One track would have your loop in it, and the other would have the same settings but be free for you to record whatever you want into it
yes i suppose that is the way to do it, but then you need two instances of each V.I ...

Re: recording Live, Live
if you turn overdub on it will record into the clip thats playing. i dont want that. i want to play over the clip and have that be recorded into the arrangement along with whatever is looping in the clip.

Re: recording Live, Live
if you have a midi track and record a clip you can still play over that clip. midi notes still go to the instrument and you can play over the loop with the same instrument on the same track. as soon as you put Live into arrangement record you are no longer able to play through that track, it only ...
