Running Live kills sound from other apps?
Ok, so I just got my external sound card, and I love it, but when I tell Live to use its ASIO driver, I can't play any sound from outside the program. Can't play anything in I-Tunes, Windows Media Player, Firefox.... nothing.
Would this be because those outputs don't use ASIO, and when running Live ...

Probably just a newbie question....
Ok, so I'm recording my first song with Live, and it starts with a couple pickup notes to the first bar, but when I play them, the notes automatically get shifted to the downbeat of the first full measure. I have the Global quantization and Record quantization set to none, so why would it be doing ...

I got an Alienware Area-51 m7700 laptop, and I absolutely LOVE it.
It has an Intel Pentium 4 Processor 531 w/ HT Technology (3.0GHz), 1Gb of memory, a 120 Gb RAID 0 hard drive (2 60Gb drives in a RAID 0 array), GeForce Go 7800 GTX video card, and the most beautiful 17" widescreen LCD that I've ever ...

Awesome! That worked, thanks a lot. I didn't realize that each clip had its own BPM setting. Sorry about the newbie question, I'm just really new to Live.
Although that fixed most of the problem, there's a very slight stutter at the beginning of what seems like every measure. Maybe it's a ...

I'm working on a remix for a contest that's ending soon, and the band (unfortunately) provided mp3's for all the different parts of the song. I just made the switch from doing everyting in Adobe Audition to Ableton Live (Lite 5), and it seems absolutely killer so far, but my version of Live ...
