LFO built in? LFO was the only thing I was wishing for for live 9.0 They added a lot of crap I will never use, but I have to pay the price of bitwig to get it. Pfff.
Supported Javascript API for controller? I remembered fighting hard with unsupported crappy python and still don't get what I wanted ...

Re: Rewire Ableton with Ableton?
1) Why in particular do you need to send the audio between the channels of the two instances of Live? Live makes a fine ReWire Host, but not so great of a slave. Perhaps there is a better way to approach? Would it not make more sense to just have 1 copy of Live open?

Rewire Ableton with Ableton?
Hello,
I am a little confused about the rewire concept.
What I need to do is to run two instances of Live, each using a different sound interface, and send sound from instance A to B, back and forth, in differents tracks.
Is it possible to do that with rewire? Is there a way to achieve it?

Tetr4 VST plugin and audio in the same track
For those that could be interested I figured out a way to use the Tetr4 VST plugin and receive the audio in the same track.
Here the trick:
1. Install LoobBe1:
http://www.nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html
2. Open live.
3. Create a new track.
4. In that new track create an instrument rack.
5. Drag the ...

Re: Ableton vs Linux
I would really like to have Live running on Linux, it's one more reason to look forward gor bitwig.
I find Linux easier than Windows. Firts it doesnt crash. Second I like to use my CPU power to create music. Linux is fast and efficient.
One of the mean reason why Mac OS is so stable, it's because ...

Deep House track, with a mellow mood and a touch of chilled out with a lazy attitude, perfect to do the farniente on a hot summer afternoon.

Re: How to add warmess to your setup for less than 100$
Yes, V.W. doesnt sound as good. Imo, it sounds digital muddy, like bad warping artifacts on audio clips in ableton. The only vst distortion algorithm I enjoy using is guitar rig. And its really not that good (warm?) either. Considering trying some of this tape playhead stuf.. I do have a cassette ...

Yes, but it cost most than the real stuff. It's like if you paid $1000 for a glass ruby, whereas the real ruby cost $100.kb420 wrote:

Re: How to add warmess to your setup for less than 100$
Also plain old tape cassette can be used. Easy to get for free! Theres a nice guide at createdigitalmusic.com
Personally, I like my compositions to sound how I intended them to sound. And I don't see why I need to add distortion to my master output. Something which was a constant annoying ...

How to add warmess to your setup for less than 100$
Hello fellows,
I want to share with you a trick I discovered recently.
I readed a lot of thing on forum to how to add warmess. Like buying a piece of gear ( compressor or other ), change its tube, mount 1:1 transfo and other.
But the solution is easier and cheaper. Look for an old amp from the ...
