Re: Question about max

I mean that the length of the note, say 1 beat or 1.32 ms or whatever it is, could I use that value to modulate the attack value of an envelope controlling a filter cutoff frequency, so a longer note would take longer to open the filter, and shorter note it would be quicker.

I'm just wondering if ...

Question about max

I've never used max but sometimes I wonder if I'd be able to utilize it... like maybe a common LFO, though today I am wondering if this is possible with live: use note length to modify the envelope attack speed that controls a filter's cutoff frequency? So then after punching in a "wah, wahwahwah ...

"Meta View" option in addition to Arrangement and Session

With Meta View you can have multiple projects open simultaneously. Allowing the artist to flip between the different songs as the inspiration hits. Like tabs in a browser. :D

Is there a way to set a new default preset for a plugin?

For instance, CamelPhat's default has a bunch of settings I'm constantly turning off every time I add it to a channel. Can I just make a preset how I want somehow without saving to an audio effect rack?

Is there a way to randomize the timing with Sampler?

Got it routed through drum racks and I want to randomize my hits, how can I achieve this? There doesn't seem to be a randomize option, Any midi effects I can use somehow? Does modulating "time" do this? (I can't seem to tell what that does :? )

[edit: found, set groove -> timing 0%, random >0%]

right-click on audio/midi track > convert to midi/aud track

would help with workflow, instead of having to delete the audio track and insert a midi one if i decide i wanna do some midi stuff (and vice versa).

and i suppose on converting to audio track you could have a pop-up asking if you wanna flatten the midi or delete it

higher latency with my USB soundcard...

I get lower latency without a soundcard... 0 ms input latency and 2.33 ms output with 45 samples, compared to with my NI Audio Kontrol 1 that gives 5 ms input latency and 6 ms output latency at 45 samples.

Is there something I'm doing wrong / don't understand? Or do I just have to do my recording ...
