I'm all about Oak, and I have to force myself not to spend too much time looking at the skins instead of making music when I'm high as fuck.

And here in Cali a choad is a stumpy dick. We call it the taint. A little regional language knowledge for ya.

I recorded some good audio w/ a mic, but I didn't set the tempo beforehand -- just did it free-form (into the Arrangement). How can I set the tempo to that of the original recording so I can do some MIDI sequencing?

Also, how can I break one big recording into smaller ones in Arrangement View? I ...

I like the idea of working with clips, but the fact that clips don't track automation/instrument property changes annoys me. So say I've been recording some cool stuff into the Arrangement with a MIDI instrument, but it's one really long track of ideas. Is there any way to record parts of this into ...

So I hooked up my Casio CTK-4000 via USB, followed all the setup steps, but the "MIDI Track In Indicator" box doesn't even light up when I play -- no communication.

In Preferences > MIDI Sync: "Track" is On for "Input: CASIO USB-MIDI".

The In/Out in the MIDI track should all be right.

Any ideas ...
