Thanks Rabalder. "Beercans everywhere" is not exactly my idea of creative environment :-)
While I agree with you in general about the atmosphere, one must keep in mind that lots of reverb is very tireing for ears and mind. I remeber a 3 hour rehersal in a poorly adjusted room - I felt like I'm ...

Best accoustics in rehersal room
Hi everyone,
I recently got access to a new rehersal room (gig room, or how do you call it?) in a nice and tall basement. It is in a rather raw state, and there is a lot of work ahead of me and my band members.
I have two questions for people who know their stuff ...

Re: Audio Interface Noise
Hey guys thank you for the quick replys.
Unfortunately it's not the room noise - at least I would know what to battle with. As I said the noise is there even without the mic plugged in. Here is a sample of a recording of just the interface (no mic plugged in, phantom switched off and input gain set ...

Audio Interface Noise
Hi everyone!
I am writing in a desperate hope of getting help. At first I have to mention that I’m new to recording and mixing so I might babble with no sense.
To say thing shortly – my audio interface (Presonus Audiobox USB) produces annoying hissing noise. While for music the signal to noise ...

Re: Export audio in mp3
Couldn't disagree more. I use Ableton for work (flash games) and its a great pain to use Audacity or Switch on EVERY single file.jtdj wrote:pointless feature, whats the point in going to all the effort of mixing and finalising a track only to then compress it into mp3?

MP3 export. I work in flash-games industry and it's a pain to convert it via third party programs.

Re: Ableton Orchestal Instrument Collection - are they any good?
I have EIC2 and I it is quite nice in terms of quality and ease of use (after all it is nicely integrated into Live).
The EIC2 lacks many instuments tho so I'm guessing, OIC should be good. Although I have seen cheaper collections out there...

Re: How to create an underwater effect?
Hey,
Thank you all for the answeres!
I followed Echotone's advice and set up a Vocoder against a track with underwater clip, added a water ambient sound as Schauzer suggested and finally cut off some highs using an EQ on the master track (thanks to agent314 for the advice). At the peak of my ...

How to create an underwater effect?
Hello all,
I'm new to music production and new to Ableton (my very first post here actually).
Does anyone know of a way to create an underwater effects using Ableton "stock" audio effects?
I am composing a score for a game where there is and old gramophone playing underwater (I know its unrealistic ...
