CC11 (Expression)

This may be a dumb question but here goes; I instantiate Zebra2 on track and setup my MIDI channels and start playing my plugin. Everything seems fine, but when I use CC11 (expression) nothing happens. It seems that Live is not passing this controller through to the plugin. Plz help?

Re: Problem with VB3

Yes, you have to use 1_VB3, 2_VB3 and 3_VB3 ... but VB3 still will only take MIDI input on channel 1, 2 and 3 regardless.

Marat,

Oooooops, my bad! You are absolutely right. The internal Global VB3 settings must be set to 1, 2, and 3 and then you can set the Ableton Live channels to anythings you ...

Re: Problem with VB3

I can't believe that no one has replied to my request for help! Oh well.

I discovered the answer however, today. It is: VB3 will only receive on channels 1, 2 and 3 while instantiated in Live9.

Problem with VB3

First off; I am using VB3 Version 1.4.

Here is my scenario:

1. I instantiate VB3 on track 4 and set the "MIDI From" to All Ins and All Channels
2. I create and arm a MIDI track and set the "MIDI From" to All ins and Ch 4
3. I set the "MIDI To" to 4-VB3 and 1_VB3
3. I go into the Plugin itself ...

Help - I need an expert!

I thought I had the ultimate configuration: Windows XP, 2.7GhZ, 2GB RAM, 600MB drive just for Live, Live 6.0, RME Fireface 800 using Firewire 800 protocol, Muse Receptor Pro with 2GB RAM and 750GB Drive and Creative Labs Prodikeys keyboard. However, Live 6 keeps crashing and fragmenting my disk. I ...

Live 6.0 and Fireface 800 and MS GS Wavetable SW Synth

Can't get MS GS Wavetable SW Synth working as long as Fireface 800 is in use. Live turns GS Wavetable test red. It seems that Live 6.0 does not like the two working together. Does anybody use this configuration with any luck?

Hi,

IIRC General MIDI sequences include a Program Change message at the beginning of each track that sets the instrument. In Live, I'd drop a GM-compatible instrument onto a seperate MIDI track then route all the MIDI file tracks to it, but on different channels.

Roland have various Sound Canvas ...

This allows you establish a patch change at the beginning of the clip. But, how can you make several patch changes within the clip? ...and then edit the envelope after you record and go in and change let's say the 2nd patch change from 37 to 85?

Dropping a MIDI sequence into Live?

First, I am a newbie here.. so please take pity on my stupid questions? Here goes: When I drop in a MIDI file into Live it places the different MIDI tracks on different Live tracks... this is very good. However, no instrument is assigned to the track. My question is: is there a plugin that will do ...
