That's for the clarification.
Fingers crossed for a fix in the future.

Re: Recording Automation
It does this in arrangement view but not in Session view and most of us, especially for Live performance use Session a lot (I too came from Cubase so took a while to get used to Session view) - now I use Session view a lot more and while you're building up a jam or a groove, it would be really ...

Re: Anyone into Wonky, New School Beatscience?
No.. I have never heard of them before.
However, after listening to a Dorin Concept track off youtube it reminds me of a weak version of Eero Johannes. This isn't to say it isn't good. I just didn't find the one composition to exhibit a decent sense of structural change over the course of the track ...

Re: Recording Automation
I'm a Cubase user who has dabbled with Live but has never been an extensive user.
With that said, I've never been able to understand exactly what you guys are getting at. Can you give me a functional example of something that you can't do but would like to?

Re: 5400 rpm drives versus 7200 rpm question.
for IDE drives the 7200 does actually give a big speed advantage and helps with higher plugin counts etc. I had a Hitachi travelstar 80GB 7200 rpm drive in my old laptop, which was a lot better performance wise than the Toshiba 5400.
However, the new SATA drives 5400 is faster than an IDE 7200 ...

Re: Max For Live Question: Cyclops?
How is cyclops working out for you? I was thinking about purchasing it but then an experienced user told me to stick with the free cv.jit library.
Oh, I haven't purchased it yet. I'm debating whether to grab Jitter by itself or get Max4L and pick up cyclopes on top. I really won't know till ...

Re: Max For Live Question: Cyclops?
Technically speaking, it's a Max object, so according to the sixth post in the thread you started a day or so ago:
http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=126519
It would work.
Although, the people who would be able to answer that would be a pretty small group, so you may just want to email ...

Anybody know if whether a M4L user would be able to purchase the product linked above (Cyclops) and incorporate the objects into Ableton?

Re: So what is Live still missing to make it an amazing DAW?
As a new user (started on Live 7), I am disappointed in Live's handling of MIDI data. The main reason I bought Live (now upgraded to 8 Suite) was to use it live with my EWI 4000s and EWI USB horns. Sadly, they produce so much MIDI data it chokes Live. I've reported it to Live's techs, and they ...

Re: Question to American's
Guys
Out of interest - do you still change your clock for daylight saving??? I heard you rapped it, wondering if thats true or not?
Cheers
Yes, most of us do.. Some of us don't, and never did (Arizona? Parts of Indiana?).
On, and no need to put a apostrophe at the end of "Americans" - doing ...

Re: Finger Remix of Two Fingers
I'm conflicted...
Should I be happy or disgusted that mainstream pop/hip hop has co-opted what used to be very experimental electronic music?
Never heard the original so I can only guess what's from the Finger (probably the beat repeats and stutters).
It's less lame if you modulate your own ...

Excellent stuff. Wanted this functionality for ages. This is definitely the most useful MFL example I've seen so far. Finally I can sidechain EQ movements!

Re: New Mac OSX Daw - Harrison Mixbuss
Umm... What should make me think that just because Person X knows how to build a quality analog compressor or EQ that this gives them any great insight on coding a quality digital compressor or EQ?
I build an analog synth once... I won't be coding Reaktor anytime soon.
that is a very lame ...

LiveCut. Google it.
Or.. umm.. click the link above this post that takes you to the same collective (though a different member makes Livecut).
I didn't suggest Livecut itself since it's not a controllable glitch effect but works off algorithms in a kinda "random" way. Mind you, I've never ...

Not sure if it'll work with your build, but check out buffer overdrive. It's free and pretty brilliant.
