I just bought a Behringer XENYX X1832USB mixer. Installed the audio installer thing that came with it. When in ableton I choose the asio in audio preferences, and see the behringer mixer audio. I choose that. Mixer is connected to my computer...but...no audio when I arm a track. And ableton lags a ...

Do you think plugging something like that into the lineout part in the back of the kaos pad, and the 3.3mm part into my labtops microphone jack ...

okay I got audio, but I can`t do things normally. Example: I had to hold shift, and press number 8. Now when I tap away, audio labtop. BUT. I can only select 1-128 randomized programs. I can`t go to 1-7, and mess with the programs like usual. Wtf??? How can I hear audio, but be able to reproduce ...

So I just got the Kaossilator Pro, downloaded the USB pack thing online, hook up the machine to my computer, and went into ableton to start recording sounds from it in ableton...


And no audio. How can I fix this, what am I missing???

I should also add, when using my method, you need to have your input on a separate track. With my setup, I have multiple inputs, all on separate tracks, going into a bus track. Then I have 5 tracks each with a looper and input set to my bus track. I was having the same problem you were until I ...

Okay here`s my problem.

When I`m looping sounds, I`m in session view (prefer it that way).... and here we go:

Lets say I got my mic hooked up, and can hear myself. And I create say 5 audio tracks. I`ll set a "looper" to each one. And in the first "audio 1" I`ll loop some beatboxing, harmonies etc ...

compression, and lowering the bass to about 40hz seems to have helped immensely for me, but I`ll be back again real soon lol cause trying to make everything flow (kicks, pads, bass, etc) is quite the headscratcher.

Alright thanks for the tips, working on quite a few technical difficulties as my setups gonna be a wee bit complicated, but I`ll get back to you on which tip helped most, THANKS!
