Hey guys, I'm trying to wrap my head around how to create the bass/melody in this song that starts at :50. I just can't figure out the right combination of waves and effects to achieve this sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MPD18 slider volume for each channel.
So I'm trying to control the volume of each active track using the single fader on the MPD18. I've read many places to set the CC to 7 but that doesn't seem to be working. If I set it to 1 then it controls the master volume regardless of which channel is active. Anyone know of a way to solve this ...

Re: Moving sets between computers
Thanks a lot guys for your feedback. I hadn't thought of airdrop or Dropbox. I think I'm going to experiment with both of those for this next track and see how it goes. Obviously, start off using one and then halfway through switch to the other and see how it goes. Thanks guys

Moving sets between computers
Hey guys, I've got a Macbook and an IMac and depending on where I am etc, I may be working on one or the other. I'm trying to determine how to easily work on a track on one computer and then be able to continue working on it on the other. I do the "collect all and save" and bring it to the second ...

Re: Adjusting all midi notes' volume at once
then no, there isn't a command to change velocity data of all clips.
but what you CAN do is add a Velocity device (found in the Midi Effects section) to any track with midi clips on it.
Set its mode to Fixed, and Out Hi to whatever volume you'd like (127 max).
Ok cool. I will certainly try that ...

Re: Adjusting all midi notes' volume at once
select all notes
cmd-click-drag upwards on any of them
So I'd be able to do that for all of the midi notes within a group. But if I have say easily 40-50 different groups of midi notes, is there a way to change all those notes at once rather than having to click on each group and highlight it's ...

Adjusting all midi notes' volume at once
I've been working on a track on the go so I've just been using the MacBook's keyboard for recording midi notes and then drawing some in. Because of this, some notes are at 75% volume and others are 100%. Is there an easy way to change all of the notes to 100% without having to go into each group of ...

Re: Ozone 5 users
I was planning on using Ozone for mastering. At this stage I'm inexperienced with mastering and have just been using Ableton's compressors etc. to do all my mastering and was looking for something that might help bring out the sound some as well as assist me. Up until now I've been Eqing and ...

Re: Ozone 5 users
I assumed he bought Ozone 5 for mastering. If he bought it to reverse delay lines, then yes, my answer was a bit oversimplified, and should probably have included this:

Yes
Always the one to elaborate :D
What are you using (planning to use) Ozone for?
Do you need it?
Have you reached
As "smart assed" as this may unintentionally sound, I do what I believe is needed. Sometimes I add compression to a single track, sometimes sidechain it, sometimes just some EQ ...

I'm about to use Ozone for the first time and I was wondering should I use Ableton's compressor on each instrument individually first before using Ozone? What do others do? Thanks

Problem with a midi'ed keyboard note
So I'm working on this song and I'm having a unique problem. When I play the song straight through, it gets to a certain part and when it's supposed to hold a note, it starts to play the note and then stops halfway through. If I start the playback at the beginning of the midi clip starting with the ...

Re: Massive vs. Maschine Mikro
To update everyone, I ended up going with Komplete 8. Yea, it's a little bit more money, but you get so much more. I've got the Axiom 25 so I've got a controller including mpc style pads. How do others like Komplete 8 and is there any inside tips for it etc?
