Sorry Juan, I didn't mean to oppose you. I just wanted to know why you wanted it. You answered my question, and your reason was different to what I thought it was, so I'm glad I asked.
I'd be really interested in looking at your rack. As I said, I haven't been able to find a satisfying way of ...

Re: pendulum/knife party
Did you want to direct us to a particular sound in one of your compositions?
I just listened to "Nikola Tesla" and felt the trance chords in that sounded fairly weak, especially when it's soloed (1:15ish). Maybe you should experiment with dropping the chords an octave or so (I felt they were too ...

Re: Resampling quality: carbon copy or less?
I'd be interested in hearing your reflections on any further experimentation phonographiq. I've been wondering about this but haven't yet invested any serious time in exploring it.

Re: pendulum/knife party
My direct answer to your question is "I don't know", but I would like to point out that in general commercial music benefits from extreme attention to detail by experienced professionals using high quality tools in carefully designed listening environments at every step of the production process. I ...

Why?
Only reason I can think of is so that you could map it to a single macro/hardware knob, which is something I've tried (unsuccessfully) to do, but to me the more comprehensive solution would be to increase the flexibility of macro/midi mapping in general by simply adding start and end points to ...

Re: Need something to complain about, pls help!
I'm looking forward to nostalgic rants about how much better the "vintage" 32-bit environment was to "limit" your options so that you could "focus your creativity" and that music has become dull and lifeless and unimaginative now that everybody is using 64-bit.

Re: More included soft synths / instruments.
As an owner of Live 8 Suite, I'll admit I continue to be a little bit surprised here and there about some fairly ordinary compositional sounds that just seem to be missing from the various included libraries, and I'm also often frustrated by the over representation of experimental sounds that don't ...

Re: Noisy Guitar Input
Hey, I've just been working on the same problem!
The problem with the "gate" effect is that the threshold setting only goes down to -40dB, which is WAY too high for a guitar noise gate and, as you discovered, kills sustained notes and sounds like crap. Until today I was using both NI Guitar Rig and ...

Re: Baking MIDI Effects
I use the chord and arp effects all the time. I've gotten used recording the midi to a new clip on a second channel, which is easy enough to do. But a 'bake' button would improve on this workflow.
