Skrillex Uses Ableton

I don't care much for Skrillex's latest works but a music video was just posted for "Breaking a Sweat" ft. The Doors and you can see in several shots that he has Ableton open and it looks like he might even be performing live with it. I realize this doesn't really matter but I always get a little ...

Re: Lower all tracks' volume with some volume automation

Can't you just put a utility on the master channel and automate that?

Re: New track for Rainbow Serpent......

A few things I noticed (excuse my ignorance): I couldn't quite what the vocal sample was saying. Not sure if you wanted it that way. I'm not really feeling a "pumping" effect that you see with most house tracks, and I would have preferred the kick to be in a lower frequency. But other than that, it ...

I don't have any hip hop instrumentals to review, but feel free-

Dah, it seems like people always post house tracks for me to look at and I don't really care for the genre nor know much about it. A few ...

Re: Review my hip hop instrumental and I'll review yours!

Hi, Your F# G# & A# (4) riff seem to jump out of the mix too much & the whole track lacks bottom end.
(To my ears anyway, esp for a hip hop track where Bass sorta rules )

The Bass line @ 1:28 stepping down is all out of key with the rest of whats going on...(might be your intention)

Cheers, Si ...

+with your 2 duped tracks, try setting the track delay on one at -10ms and the other to +10ms
The simple delay doesn't let me delay any less than 1ms.

School me on the simple delay and stereo widening

I want to learn more about stereo widening techniques, and the best-sounding of ones I've tried so far is using the simple delay. Generally I duplicate the track I want to widen, pan one all the way left, the other all the way right, and throw a delay on the group with 0% feedback, 100% wet and ...

Re: Feedback on song mixing (simple acoustic/vox)

Which effects are you using? It would turn out much better IMO if you can get the guitar and vocals recorded separately as each should probably have different eq-ing, compression, etc.

Re: FISHING Remix Feat. Notorious B.I.G.

I hear so many mashups of Biggie that unless they're REALLY good to me, they get annoying pretty quickly. For example I really like the one Pretty Lights did and the one by Hathbanger that mashed Biggie and Miley Cyrus. I didn't particularly care for this one but that's just my taste, not that ...

Re: Can I paypal someone with N.I. Akoustik to run my piano?

@ Farley It's very simple melodies and whatnot and since it repeats throughout I would only need about 14 bars done. So however much you think that's worth.

@ c33 Thank you, that would be great. What do I need to send you?
