Re: Live 11 web page - name that display
It's likely fake. Look at the studio monitor on the left, the left studio monitor is "skewed" incorrectly. Bad photoshop. It's just a fake instagram ready marketing image. All the manufacturer logos are gone or obscured, likely to avoid copyright issues. It's like some boomer hired a gen x to subcon...

Re: Clyphx for PUSH2 Sticking notes
Well I'm too embarrassed to print how long I've been using MIDI but it's a loooong time. My opinion on stuck notes is that it's just a part of using MIDI. Sometimes you can track it down to hardware issues or software issues but the reality is that stuck notes is such a common problem for so many ye...

Re: VST 2 coming to an end. - Steinberg
That said even though Ableton is getting VST 3 now, it will be awhile before VST2 is fully phased out. A lot of heavy hitters (cough, cough NI) haven't even converted, and with the list of freeware plug-ins that probably never get converted to VST 3, there will always be a demand for VST 2, (as the...

Re: Vst 3 support in Live. When?
VST3 is the least adopted update to a standard I can think of. There are a few good reasons for it, but it came out 8 years ago, and it's still not widely adopted , I wouldn't count on Ableton supporting it anytime before 2020, or 2030 for that matter. Wrong. So almost two years ago I was a year of...

I am going to bet the adoption of VST3 will remain as slow as it has been until today unless DAWs drop VST2 support.
Guess you lost that bet.

Re: Recording Hardware and ext SEQs alongside Live ?
I was commenting on the OPs current workflow. The OP wanted to capture their current workflow accurately. Thus the suggestion of external recording. If the OP wants to adjust their workflow there are endless successful ways to so as you mentioned. But if you take into account the current workflow of...

Re: Recording Hardware and ext SEQs alongside Live ?
What you are trying to do is impossible. I don't know why this doesn't come up more often. The latency imposed by using Live to sequence, add effects, and record your performance is always going to sound like a loose bowel movement. Please don't waste any more of your time trying to configure your s...

Re: Live's database is just plain bad.
All the companies in the music production industrial complex are dealing with this issue. How many companies have become content management companies? Abelton, Native Instruments, Steinberg, Arturia, to name just a few. All of these companies not only create music software but also create content. T...

Re: Ableton Live 10.0.3 takes 40 minutes to load!
Oh poo! OK, better get saving then :( Any advice on what is a 'suitable' computer? And is Mac or Windows better for Ableton (or is that a separate hot topic?) The macOS versus Windows is just going to start a war :) I would suggest buying what you are comfortable with. As for specs try to aim for a...

Re: Ableton Live 10.0.3 takes 40 minutes to load!
Thanks for all your feedback and support!! I have disconnected all hard drives and my midi keyboard etc, and now just have Ableton running and my mic/speakers attached. I then rebooted. It took 15 minutes to load Ableton whoop whoop!! :-( But when I tried to load my project it's still hanging sayin...

Re: New Komplete, including new Massive X coming from NI
If you purchase Komplete 12 Ultimate Collectors Edition (geez what a mouthful). You get all their Expansion sound and sample packs. Which seems good until you realize that their Expansion line directly competes with Sounds.com and NI is likely just dumping the Expansions in some clever marketing. So...
