I run a Juno 106 from Ableton but I cannot for the life of me figure out how the Group, Bank & Patch numbers on the Juno correlate to the Bank/SubBank/Program in the Live envelope. I've checked the manual for both, I just am not getting it.
Can somebody please explain this?

Gabriel Damen "Bear" on Permanent Damage
Hey Ableton gang,
I recently launched a label called Permanent Damage, and we're putting up some of our tracks online for pre-release download.

Re: Help needed to fatten this track mix ?
sounds like your kick drum needs to be beefier.
also the bass could use some low end, like a clean sin wave, or another oscillator an octave or two lower
and some reverb somewhere would probably help give it some space

Re: Drum racks, my weakest area
something that will save you time down the road:
open simpler, and set voices to 1 and amp>velocity to 80% or higher (whatever you use for drums)
save that simpler as 'drum simpler' or whatever.
then create a drum rack, and load that saved simpler into a bunch of pads.
then save the whole thing ...

External Instrument with DSI Evolver - Audible Hiss
I am using the 'external instrument' with a DSI evolver and when I hit stop there is an audible hissing noise coming from that channel, mostly noticeable when I am using compression. (I presume the noise is always there but inaudible over the other tracks when the song is playing.)

i use Amadeus Pro. I think there's a freeware version, and Pro is about $25. It has a lot of the same features as Bias etc. and Ive never had a problem with it for this application.

Re: How do you setup your return tracks in live?
Nico - are you saying that you set up 10 return tracks in each track you produce? Or that you have ten configurations and you use some of them in a track, but not all? 10 seems crazy!

are any of your fx or mastering plugins trial versions that are now expired? Maybe they were good when you inserted them and are now expired?
Just a guess.

Re: How to reverse tracks (Jimi Hendrix like)???
also fun to record in one track, duplicate and reverse the clip and paste into another track, and then cut that reversed one up and overlap them, maybe use different fx on each track etc, mess around with the warp markers etc.

Ableton Analog instrument - filter control
Is there a way to make the filter envelope inversely proportionate to velocity? Some of the hardware synths I have you can set the vel>env amount from -50 to +50 but from what I can see Analog only has plus values.
Presumably this can be achieved with Max/MSP for Live but curious if I am missing ...

the soundtoys native effects package is a bit pricey but the echoboy has some great tape delays on there.
the other effects are top notch too.

Re: KICK DRUM TUNING - SYNC WITH SYNTH BASS - ADVICE NEEDED
i dont know what the tip on p 275 is, but what i do is pitch the drum up 2 or 3 octaves (ie 24 or 36 steps) and if necessary open the release up so that you can hear the pitch more clearly.
If you are like me and don't have perfect pitch, just fiddle with the notes on a standard keyboard and ...

select track via midi controller
hi,
i'm having trouble using a midi controller to select and launch clips.
basically what i'd like to do is have 5 buttons to select clips (more or less equivalent to the cursor controls on a keyboard plus one more)
left - scroll track to the left
