Thanks so much for the quick replies!
I'm plugging them directly in, and yes, the controllers do get power but no, they don't show up in audio midi setup.
MMMMM I am using Leopard! That could be it, Any way around that one?

Macbook not finding midi controllers?
Hello!
I just switched from a PC to a Macbook (It's quite exciting). With my PC, I plugged in my controller, a Triggerfinger, and Live automatically found it, and I could start using it right away. With the Macbook, though, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to hook up my controllers.

Switching Computers, PC to Macbook, Upgrade to 7?
I've been searching the forum for an answer to this, but I've had no luck.
I'm going to be buying a macbook this month, and right now I have a PC. I was wondering A) how to transfer Live from a PC to a mac (or from computer to computer in general) and B) if all the music I've created will be ...

Impulse's decay rate?
Hello everyone!
I am wondering how I can get a sound assigned to slot in Impulse to last more than just like two seconds before fading out. I want to put clips in the different slots for performance, so I can easily switch between different drum measures. Is this possible?

CHICAGO- is there an Ableton group?
Hello everyone, I'm moving to Chicago for three months this summer and I was wondering if there is any sort of Ableton user group there? Perhaps any sort of electronic music group that meets up and discusses different techniques and what not.
Or if there are any personal groups that meet up ...

PLEASE HELP! Strange and serious problem
While working on one of my currently favorite beats, I tried something unusual and I don't know why (You know how you get when you work on music for hours).
I thought that if I consolidated two different drum tracks in arrangment view, and then copy/pasted the consolidation into an audio track in ...

Free instrument hits and sounds?
Hello again everyone,
What is your favorite source of free sounds? I'm thinking specifically of orchestral and brass single-notes. I've been sampling all my stuff from songs, the old school way, but are there good websites?
Thanks!

NOT normalizing?
Call me a rookie, and you'd be an honest person. But I, as I hear most producers do, want my music to be loud. I posted before about getting that loud full sound, playing with the EQ and compression and what not, and it sounds GREAT... until I render it to disk.

Plug in for converting Beatboxing to midi?
Hello! I know alot of programs have a system that will convert outside sources to midi. For instance, alot of my creative flow comes from beat boxing, and I was wondering if Live is in any way capable of converting my beatboxing loops to midi. If not, is there any freeware for download thats capable ...
