Re: sends and returns

In the output routing, I believe there's a "sends only" option.

Midi remote scripting, midi output if slot contains a clip?

Does anyone know if there's a way via midi remote script to tell if a clip slot actually has a clip loaded/recorded into it? I'm playing with a modified version of the fcb1020 script but cannot find a way to determine if a clip exists in the slot or not. I need this for a lemur clip launcher. I need ...

Re: Linking things...

Thanks. I gave the gate a quick try but I don't think it's exactly what I want, or I'm just not setting it up perfectly to get the effect I'm looking for. I tried explaining it to someone who has no familiarity with music software and this is the simplest explanation I could come up with, so figured ...

Linking things...

Sorry for the rather not so descriptive subject but I don't know what to call this. I watched a video the other day that I can no longer find. The guy was using fruity loops. He basically linked the incoming note velocity to a reverb dry/wet knob, but had it inverted. So the effect was that when he ...

Mac OSX - Multiple audio interfaces, the native way

I searched a bit and found references to using SoundFlower and other 3rd party tools to enable multiple audio interfaces on Mac OSX. There's a built in way to do the same thing outlined here:

I have a mbpro with an Alesis Multimix8 firewire. The ...

Thanks man! That link was exactly what I was looking for. Cheers!

Now for the live looping stuff... Here's what I have so far:

Hopefully that makes sense. I'm not sure if it's obvious what's ...

Few things -

If it matters I'm using Live 5. I found the tempo range inputs but they don't seem to have any effect once the controller is mapped. I can still go from 60-200.

I'll keep searching. I've found some good stuff so far.

I did some messing around last night and came up with something ...

djing... vinyl & midi mapping

Ok... if the subject isn't confusing enough, here's what I want to do.

I want to incorporate Live into my dj sets. I have 2 tt's, a powerbook and an m-audio midi keyboard.

First, I want to be able to adjust Live's tempo to match the tempo of a given record. This doesn't have to be automatic. I've ...
