The Max for live device allows you to actually say map those 8 combinator rotaries to a midi controller or any 8 controls of any of the Reason devices which made it a worthwhile purchase

All you need to do is get the midi CC mapping from Reason and you can save one of these per Reason Device

It follows your Ext Instr. plug in on the midi chain - Also cool for midi control of hardware synths / samplers etc

you automate Reason from live within the midi clip

This midi clip is on an External Instrument channel so watch this and you'll be right :)

Reason doesn't send Midi officially but there is a painful workaround...

Sample the chord, put a spectrum on it - figure out the actual chord used and then watch those videos again

Try boosting the kick between 60 - 80hz (up to 8db) you'll need to cut this from your bass

Then cut at 350hz up to -12db and boost at 5k (up to 8db)

I dont want midi implementation charts they make more than one knob turn at once. I want god damn the red box next to Midi CTRL in the clips envelope window.

Not if you use the maxforlive device - You can make one for every instrument / Effect in Reason, then when you use it with external ...

If you have MAx for Live their is a device that works alongside the external instrument device - you can then add 8 Macros per REason Instrument that can be fully automated outside of envelopes in Live..

You need the Reason MIDI implementation chart to choose the CCs you want to control...
