maybe you don't know: Live provides an extreme free groove feature!!

- take a basic Loop and put it into arrangements first track
- in clip parameters - sample edit look for Master/Slave switch, set it MASTER
> the loop's time stretch/compression overlays ALL timing! simply crazy!

test it:
- open ...

option to set absolute automation in session

I wish to have the same absolute automation like in arrangement but anyhow in session . The simplest way maybe is to (optionally) set the clip automations also absolute, equal to arrangements automation.

why
In a compound session set for live performance I need changes of racks, Instrument controls ...

I agreed.
Should be written in "wishlist" forum.

I describe a workaround for Windows. It is pretty complicated but once it works it can be cool. And there are nerds like me who actually do it...

It uses MidiYoke and MidiOx

prepare Live
- define a midi remote for every individual control you ...

midi out of VST's only monophon

Hi,

I made a note quantizer in Reaktor. It works, but unfortunately not really good in Live: chords are divided into random single notes. In other Host it works.

to reproduce you need to prepare the following:
- have Reaktor5 (Version 5.1.2.009, Demo mode is enough)
- get my quantize Ensemble ...

remoting track rec activity (Midi In)

Has someone experience how to remote rec activity?

I thought it would be pretty simple:
In different scenes I want to play with same Midi Control to different Instruments. So I "simply" remote the Rec-activity button on/off (via midi-> MidiLoopback -> remote Rec Button).

But the Rec activity ...

either you can remote stop function and send the stop control via Midi track into a (virtual)Midi loopback (XP: e.g. MidiYoke)

You also can activate a short Loop in the empty area behind the last wav. Unfortunately Loops can't be auto-moved/jumped nor remoted (I asked)

to join selected parts at a track there is a function (strg/cmd + J).
so maybe you can select the parts you like divide/join..

To devide long Tracks I have also following suggestion:
• cut the tracks at a certain point
• right click first part of clip (in arrangement or in sample view) call ...

Do you want to export the individual tracks out of the long set? I think for this "track freeze" is your favorite function (right click on track header).

yes, I do play live in session view normally.

I try to specify my situation (a common situation I think):
I made several Sessions, let's say set1.als and set2.als
The sets have commonalities but also many differences. Now need to combine these (and other) sessions into one big combined-set.als to ...

remote/autojump Loops? or: how do you manage mixed sets?

is it anyhow possible to change the position of Loop by midi or anything else?

My plan is: jumping to markers and temporarily set "back to arrangement" to change many settings (via automation:FX, chains, sends etc.) in Liveset and back continue playing clips. This way the Settings are absolute and ...

thank you.
and: great!
Since the auto selection of clips caused sometimes unwanted scene jumps I couldn't work with it - this "selected selection" offers another way to get clips edited fast and easy.

yea!

for what is "Track Status" remotable?

While searching a possibility to toggle Play/Stop with one Button (BCR2000) I found that Track Status offers remote control.
I mean the space right of the Stop Button, what is named "Track Status" in the remote listing.

Judging from what I got from midi feedback it could be a button on/off function ...

NI Massive: sound incomplete in clip

great feature: save clips!
It contains all needed: PlugIn, Sound and midi sequence.
I use it more and more.

I found that Massive recalls incomplete sound. I don't know which Bug this is, so I report it to both NI and here.

reproduce:
- in Live (6.0.5)
- have Massive (1.1.1.002) with one of the ...
