Prefuse 73 style vocal edits.
Trying to do those crazy vocal edits ala squarepusher, prefuse, and machinedrum. I keep messing with beat repeat clip offset but I can never get them to sound as streamlined as the ones in this vid. Particularly the BRRRRRRRR parts, if that makes sense. I think prefuse uses an mpc, must have been a b...

Turntablists, hamster style or regular??
I've gotten used to scratching with the cross fader "standard" like Dj Qbert, and I haven't really put a lot of effort into beat juggling. Now I'm thinking it's easier to beat juggle hamster style but I'm not used to scratching hamster style. Trying to put together a routine but I don't know if I wa...

The good reason is.. It is propitiatory.. it doesn't send out MIDI. I have seen the Rig 3 being used to loop with GR and it seemed to be okay at that, the only issue being when you change a preset in GR every unit in the rack is swapped out so to loop inside GR you need to set up every amp tone you...

Using Guitar Rig controller for live looping?
Is it possible to use the guitar rig controller to trigger clips for recording and doing live looping? I know there are alot of midi foot controllers designed for this purpose, but I would rather not have another piece of equipment on the floor if i dont have too. I'm surprised I havent seen anyone ...

I think americans love hearing news like this, It gives them something to talk about and sensationalize. It satisfies our inherent morbid curiosities. Here in miami there students in highschool who will cry about it and pretend like someone they know died. They will hold ritualistic prayer meetings,...

Blasphemy!!! Satan worked long and hard to become so evil. ...and Satan isn't that stupid (according to what I've heard anyway). It's like when Jon Stewart asked that people stop comparing Bush to Hitler. Hitler worked waaaay too hard and killed waaaay too many people to just get analogiz...

Live is fantastic for sample based music - and I'm not talking about: Puff Daddy Style samples or Funky House style sample (althoughit CAN do those easily). I'm talking about DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist style samples. If you learn to master Live, you'll have those samples in the palm of your hand. Ab...
