The problem is having to create another baseline to code against that, in all honesty, wouldn't bring the financial benefit of compiling against windows and osx targets. It'll produce a number and letter which you can correspond to another tune on a kind of colour wheel (camelot mix system)

Can you not change the range of pitch though, much like the way the CDJ's work, where you can select 10%, 6%, 100% etc..

Or use Audacity and save as a .ogg (open standards audio) or get the LAME enocoder

All of this can be done for free, legitimately.

Just wondering which is the best?
