Please help me!

Post by Tubbs » Tue Apr 17, 2007 2:48 pm

I wanted to send a set i made to a friend and upload it onto myspace (band profile) but i couldn't because ableton doesn't allow me to save things as mp3's, i tried the drop down box when saving but there was only the "als." option, is there any softwatre i can download to solve this problem or am i just missing something?

Thanks for the help!

Have a great day =)

You need to "render to disk" which will save your tune as a wav file.

Then you need to convert it to an MP3 using a converter. If you google

"wav to MP3 converter" you will find a few, and they will let you demo it by converting a few wavs for free (enough for you to send your tunes to your friend).

Or use Audacity and save as a .ogg (open standards audio) or get the LAME enocoder

All of this can be done for free, legitimately.

There have been like 5 threads this week with people asking about rendering.
Spooky!
