Ok since my origional post i have developed an eq8 template that basically uses 3 different nodes for each frequency range, (low, mid, high). It then sits in an effect rack, with set macro's for each node assigned (different limits etc) Impossible to explain on here, but if someone else has doen it ...

eq3 for djing - no way, using eq8 - help!!!
HEy all
I have been using eq8 instead of eq3 to try and get some decent volume gradients happening for mixing music. Has anyone successfully managed to use eq8 to do this? I can do it to a level higher than eq3, however I still do not belive it is perfect.
Any suggesting would be appreciated ...

BCD2000 and button LED lights
I have a BCD 2000 which I use to contol live for djing.
No issues with it, except the LED lights don't work properly. It does somthing odd, sends a signal to turn the track on on the first button push, turns the led light off on the second push, then sends a signal again on the third push. So ...

ok, thanks for that, i see what you are saying
I guess I am using this for djing, therefore I ususally don't have songs on the same track. I think the easy solution is to assign midi keys to select the track you want to use, before using the looping funcitons. Just a pain in the arse if you want to ...

Live looping and track selection
This question may have come up before but I will put it out there again anyway.
When using looping 'on the fly' using the 'set loop position' buttons via a midi controller, you obviously can loop in and out, and then turn the loop off.
My problem is that you can only do it for the track you are ...

Track sound levels & DJing - a question to the experts
A question to anyone who uses ableton to DJ:
The thing i find hard about ableton it getting sound levels to be right for DJ sets. No matter what quality of mp3 you are using, there is always that 2 -3dB variation in sound levels between tracks, which can really muk you up if you get it wrong.
