daisy chaining midi controllers?

I's trying to figure out how to daisy chain a kp2 to an electribe em1 into live. Is it possible to run the kp2's signal into the em1 and out the midi out or thru, while allowing the em1 to send a signal on a different channel to control live as well?
when i was in school, they told me practice makes perfect, then they said nobody's perfect so i stopped practicing -steven wright
