I think it checks your IP address to check where you are! Annoying as I had this problem when I bought Live 6, got fed up in the end and paid the price for living in Britain and purchased in Euros.

I had one for about a year and had great fun messing around with it, and got some amazing arp sounds from it, but that was it. Just gathered dust in the end. Got £300 for it though

I think the pricing is more then fair. I bought a full copy of Live 6 when it came out, and now for about £100/110 I can upgrade to Live 7 and add the Drum Machine pack in. Cheap and I get to pick the upgrades I want.

Not everyone wants all those add-ons, so splitting them out makes sense to me.

Here we go then. Really simple one to start with, just something I was pissing around with a few weeks ago. It's literally a bass loop with a simple arp pattern, in a self contained Live 6 file with midi and audio.

So do your worst and let's see what we come up with!

Is that just for PC users, or is it Mac too? As it seems to me probably more Mac users on these boards than PC...

I'm soooo guilty of this... Not sure how long you have been using Live but what I did the other day was to go back and listen to my first Live set back when Live 3 was out... Anyway it was interesting to hear and to see how I have progressed as a musician/producer...

I've got an idea...if your like me, you have loads of unfinished tunes lying around. I make mainly 4/4 electro tunes, and regularly start things, get a nice loop going and never finish it.

What I was thinking was, we post up our unfinished ideas for others to listen to, then if someone likes the ...

I make all my music within Ableton, sometimes without even touching my midi keyboard! And when I do use it's all one finger action!

I do know basic theory (I had too for my music production course) but practical and traditional music skills...I have none!
