Re: Live Recording Project - File exchange and song length change

Screen shot here. You can see that my percussionist's export of my track is longer than my original.
I had him send me his settings. In his Preferences under Record/Warp/Launch, he has the Auto Warp long samples selected.
Could that be it?

Live Recording Project - File exchange and song length change

I'm in the middle of recording project and baffled by some song length changes during the process of exchanging files.
This is what I am seeing.

1. I create the master set in Live, record all my parts, etc. In one instance, my set BPM is 162
2. I expert my arrangement to wav, send it to my duo ...

Resize Clip Overview/Zooming Hotspot window

Such a simple thing to do, which is completely evading me at the moment. How the heck do you vertically widen the Clip Overview/Zooming Hotspot strip in arrangement view? It is is narrow as a sliver on my screen.

Re: How can a slave computer play a clip w/o the master playing?

Ah, my suggestion goes out of the window then (blank scenes in your Live set while he plays the samples).

Could you get a cheap old drum machine/hardware sequencer & slave both laptops to that... just keep it running all the time.

Yeah, it sucks. Well, for our show he is playing these sound ...

I have separate sets..no way around it, because each song has its own unique arrangement, with sections that we loop and improvise over. So, I am loading a new set each time.

Re: How can a slave computer play a clip w/o the master playing?

Since he's playing live, doesn't sound like you need to MIDI sync the two machines at all. Just have to make sure the sets at the same tempo. He doesn't need to hit play for the effects to be synced unless they are dependent on clip automation.

For the one-shot clips, export them at the right ...

Re: How can a slave computer play a clip w/o the master playing?

So our only work around right now is that he has to turn off receive external sync in order to play his sound clips when my master Live system is not playing or hasn't started, which gets old in between songs.

How can a slave computer play a clip w/o the master playing?

I am not sure this is possible or not. I am in an live EDM band - vocals, keys, guitar, and tons of programming on Live on two Macs. I am running the master Live set, playing all the percussion and bass parts. I am sending a sync to my keyboard player, who is also using Live on his Mac. We are ...

Can you re-record an audio track w/o overwriting automation?

Can you re-record an audio track without overwriting automation? This is proving to be a problem for me. I am recording tracks and adding fairly complicated automation in arrangement view. But if I want to re-record the audio, it erases all of that. My current work around, which is a pain, is the ...

Re: Adding VST Instrument to Instrument Rack adds "chain"

It has always been putting the instruments in chains. On the far left of the rack there are three buttons that you use to display the macro knobs, chain list, and the selected chain's devices. Ensure that the chain you added is selected in the chain list and that you have the devices view button ...
