Re: Screenshots of Live 9
It looks great! Finally a big view on the eq. I got adicted to use Fabfilter Pro C and especially Pro Q and Pro L in the workflow, but this will do all the same stuf internally, and then some. Great! The mouse drag treshold line stuf on the gate and the compressor waveform looks very intuitive. +1

Re: Will there ever be an update to the Audio Engine
Ever notice how somehow every "Which DAW sounds Better" thread seems a little different from the other. I still maintain though that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Therefore if the majority of listeners say this DAW (or that DAW) sounds better then it is....simple. End of the argument. N...

Re: Tascam us-144mkII Audio Interface Latancy Issue
First thing to check on is correcting the latency between the interface and Live. There is a section in the Live Lessons section that addresses this . You can access the lessons from the Session/Arrangement View in Live. If that does not solve your problem then you try setting the buffer levels in t...

Re: My First DAW
Seriously though..I know there are a lot of people like me. I have been saving my "important" emails from over ten years ago (just around the time when email began). Yesterday I wanted to find something, and I was sure there would be some reference to it in my mails. So I began rummaging through and...

Re: My First DAW
Shitt...man I just took a mastered reggae track and ran it though the MTS DAW man!! The sound was transformed in a magical way instantly. It is kind of deceptive. There is sooo much under the hood. The quality is much better than Cubase. However, as my friend said it is geared for the studio recordi...

My First DAW
This was my first DAW and I made my most popular track using it back then. There is a fully functional Lite version, no cracks required. Ansd they seem to be German. http://www.multitrackstudio.com/screenshot.php PS Just found out that there is a free Massive Synth included with the Pro Version. I h...

Re: Live won't kill it's self..on exit (RANT)
Sorry...no offense...I was just trying to help :( I have had to use crack versions myself of programs that I couldn't afford but just had to have, so no offense my friend. Most companies with good programs don't mind people using crack versions because they often lead to people buying the ligit vers...

Re: How do I finally make my music sound "professional"??
No to layering as a solution. there will be two or three big differences between your productions and big league commercial productions. 1) monitoring. better monitoring allows you to hear flaws in your mix more clearly and fix them. this translates into clearer mixes with more audio energy where y...

Why not just buy Live 8 that should solve your problems.

Re: Parametric EQ?
...that the EQ is "Linear" Recently I saved a eq8 preset where all gains are left to zero. This preset did not color the sound, is extremely transparent and totally linear. I named it placeboEQ. I would expect a comment like that from someone who has placebo ears..reminds me of a friend I ha...

Re: Parametric EQ?
I find the EQ8 to be very useful, but the fact the spectrum analyser is separate and the display is a little small, I find FabFilter's Pro-Q to be excellent. In fact, I reckon it's one of the best. Check that as a fantastic "upgrade" to Live's EQ8. But I do agree with others, EQ takes ages to learn...
