Well both those posts have valid points.
You could sit at a piano and get something useful out of it, with no practice, but to master it would take years etc etc etc blah blah blah.
In my post I said it was "good old fashioned fun" and it certainly is, and I would 100% say it has enabled me to do ...

I like the way you can pull wires out of the back of modules and switch 'em around. Its good old fashioned fun, but whether it really does offer increased soundmaking/patching/routing possibilities (at least ones that make a difference) is another matter.

"Follow Action"
Hi gang
I'm a newbie to this (still) but have 2 questions.
1. Is there a sort of "global follow actions off" button or functionality somewhere? I love the idea of firing AL6 off and using the "follow action" feature to add varying degrees of random behaviour, but I also like the idea of clicking ...

Please help me locate my samples/prresets etc!
Hello everyone
I messed up my installation and then put stuff in the wrong libraries, so my presets and samples and things are all over the place. Can anyone tell me the correct directory path for them, so I can put them in the right place and point Live 6 in the right direction?

There's always a grey area with this kind of stuff - if I was living in the gutter writing "f*ck The Man" kind of songs, and then The Man said, "Can we use your song? We'll give you ten million for it" guess which I'd do?
I'd take the money and then start writing "f*ck The Boss of the local country ...

Well I've uninstalled Cakewalk and now Live 6 is back to normal.
I think it was all to do with Cakewalk's shared plug-ins folder, because when I tried to load Live 6 I'd get the splash screen and the little bar at the bottom left would say what it was doing. It would say "Scanning VSTs" or similar ...

I don't know what I've done, but if I open Live 6 from its shortcut nothing happens.
The only way I can get Live 6 to load is if I open Cakewalk Sonar 6 and add Live as a rewired device, but then it accepts no MIDI inputs, makes no noise etc.
I've obvioulsy messed things up with Rewiring stuff ...

Thanks for the help folks.
Yes, I'm using a 17(?) year old Roland D10. Thing is, I don't have this problem with FL 6, the sounds continue after releasing the keys just as they should... Which makes me think the problem lies within Live and not the keyboard (unless of course the keyboard midi issue ...
