Adjustments made directly on VST which have macro assignments do not save

just had some WTF moments why did my changes not save? I have some parameters on Soundtoys and Valhalla VST's which have macro assignments. I made some changes directly on the VST's and they did not save. I tried again on the Valhalla delay and it then did save. But then i checked my Filterfreak and...

Live 10 midi tracks open as groups with duplicate synths

A simple midi track opens as a grouped track with the synth and effects in the parent track and then a DUPLICATE synth in the child track. Very strange? How do I fix this?

how to add text to set or track

Searching the manual and the internet yields no results. I would like to now start using the user notes function in Live and cannot find it anywhere. Thanks!

Re: Echoboy renders with delay but plays back without it

Yes, thanks for the reminder about VST/AU! And yes there was automation on the instantiation of the delay. I decided to delete the Soundtoy and go with Blackhole.

Re: Echoboy renders with delay but plays back without it

Also: it is very simple routing, no sends, all tracks going to master and the delay is inserted.

Echoboy renders with delay but plays back without it

Live 9.7.7 and the latest Soundtoys. Very strange behavior. When I play back there is no delay but when I render, there it is. How might this be happening?

Re: Looperists: you are not bothered by the 90 second limit?

Sooperlooper and Mobius are really powerful. There's plenty other options. Thanks! Unfortunately Sooperlooper requires JACK Client (no thanks). Mobius looks interesting, though it is not so inviting when a VST hasn't been updated in over half of a decade. Abandonware? I reiterate: Looperville is a ...

Re: Looperists: you are not bothered by the 90 second limit?

Thanks for the links, thrifty spender~! not a very promising bunch of loopers.

I guess no one else frequenting this forum could care less about this issue.

Looping is dead! Long live the Loopers!

Looperists: you are not bothered by the 90 second limit?

It's funny; in all the years of using this mostly golden device I've never heard this mentioned anywhere that there is a limit to the buffer. More and more I am using longer loops and I finally had to figure out what was causing the sucker to shut down after X amount of time. It didn't occur to me t...

Re: Alternative to Ableton's Looper

It's amazing there are no up-to-date looper plugins on the market considering how widespread looping has become in the hardware market. Live's looper will spontaneously bug out on me 1 out of 10 times. Sucks for live performance because of that.

Re: Am I The Only One Not Impressed?

Both NI and Ableton struck out on taking my money this fall. The MkII of the KK keyboard and now Live 10, although both eagerly awaited, are both yawn-fests and Live 10 surprisingly so considering how long it took them make it. I would get the new Live version if I were not in the midst of switching...

Re: 10 is announced!

So how are you finding the new global show/hide automation toggle? Personally, I find it being a step back. In my music, I don't have a lot of tracks - typically 20-30 - but almost each of them has several lines of automation: sometimes 1, sometimes 10. In Live 9 I could have most tracks collapsed ...

Re: Live has made a very serious error

Solved. The render was different from playback because when exporting, Live is triggering a midi note on an un-muted track that is just one long sample from measure 1 and is NOT audible when I play the set from the songs' start time. So the song is rendering as if that track is starting from measure...

Re: Crackles when select track.

Back in the day it used to be beneficial to remove any stop buttons from clip slots that do not need them. Not sure if this is still the case, but worth a shot.
