Re: Which company did Ableton license the factory samples from?

Anyone knows which company created the factory samples that come with Ableton Live Studio? Was it maybe Wizoo? I'm asking because I'm considering getting Wizoo (now Air Music Technology)'s Structure vst sampler to play my .sf2 sample library without Sampler's resaving tedium - but I wonder if Struc...

Re: Massive X just overload my cpu

Massive X uses alot of CPU. Alot more than Massive. It is up there with Diva, Serum, and Pigments in terms of CPU use. Some patches more so than others (similar to the other mentioned CPU monsters). I think alot of Massive X load comes from its graphics as well (I believe there are known issues with...

Re: mic input signal is too low

Hi, Shure SM7B micrphones usually require a "Cloudlifter" to boost the mic up to proper recording levels. They are fantastic mics, but notoriously low in volume. There are probably some advantages to that, but it definitely throws people for a loop. Here's the website for the products: https://www....

Re: Keyboard-Shortcut to launch and record in *Session* view?

Hello there, does anyone know if there is a shortcut to launch and record a clip in session view with a QWERT-Keyboard? So far i only know F9 (recording in arrangement view) and F1-F8 (mute/unmute) Tracks. I find it annoying to always use the mouse to record the clip. Also I don't want to get an ex...

Re: Audio recording question

When recording an instrument is there any way to create take folders in Live? And to then be able to choose the best parts of each folder and combine them into one audio file? No real way. Easiest way is to create a group track for your take and set up like 4-8 tracks in that group for your takes.

Re: Processors and latency

Hi all, First post here. I realise this is a question that is asked all the time so please forgive my repeating it, but I'm kinda confused. I'm currently running Ableton 10 Suite on a desktop PC with an i5 4670K, 8GB RAM and a HDD. On the whole Ableton runs fine but I experience huge issues with pl...

Re: New Macbook Air (2020)

I noticed Mac just released their new Macbook Air like a week ago. Curious what people's opinion is with using a Macbook Air with Ableton? I know using a Macbook Pro would be the better choice and I have a iMac to do most of my production work with. They really beefed up what can go in the new MacB...

Re: Compressor clicking when sidechaining

Hi guys,. been trying to solve the clicking when I sidechain on the compressor, tried with slower attack, everything, but it keeps clicking, what can I do. Thanks! I never really run into this, although several people on this forum have this issue as well. The problem supposedly is from the new com...

Re: Is it somehow possible to use ableton link over distance?

Is it somehow possible to use ableton link over distance, for instance between countries? (I find I spend a lot of time fiddling with ideas before sending to collaborators, and the whole process takes soo much longer. I would like to be able to jam or produce together. Not in real realtime, but alm...

Re: did I really misunderstood how the audio to midi thing works? (Ableton told me so)

Hi everybody! Just posted a similar thing in the max subforum, but I like to separate subjects instead of mixing them in one thread. So, here I want to go deeper in the audio to midi feature of Ableton (which I understand it's not related to max). I'm still trying to decide between Ableton and Bitw...

Re: So, these new MacBook Air machines...

The Airs cpu speeds are rather low, which might be a problem. ... Airs are very good “everyday general purpose” laptops but DAWs are a very unusual, demanding and specialised use for a computer. On the plus side they do have Core Audio/MIDI, and the OS uses fewer resources than Windows (my wife’s 1...

Re: Latency midi Keyboard

Hi, I was hoping if anyone could help me. I have been practicing acoustic piano for most of my life and only recently I have started being interest in electronic music. So I am new to the subject. I am trying to learn to work with Ableton live 10, I would like to use my digital piano as a midi cont...
