Re: Difficulty Finishing Music
I think that one of the things that happens is that it's so easy to start a new project..
When I think of the days when all I would use to write a song was a guitar.. the amount of ideas that I would have to try out before I got something going could be a hell of a lot.. Now, often we put down the ...

Re: Difficulty Finishing Music
Finishing songs is a problem for me as well.
After a few days straight working on the same song my ADD usually gets the best of me and instead of finishing it up, I'll jump into a new live set. I always tell myself I'll go back and finish all these 2/3rd completed projects, but it never happens ...

Re: Difficulty Finishing Music
I'd say focus on the emotions the songs brings out in you, and when you're happy with that, offer it to the masses. Certainly with today's digital means of sharing tunes, if there's something lacking you'll hear about it sooner than later and can decide then if you want to fix any issues or ...

Re: Difficulty Finishing Music
I feel you bro! Unfinished songs are the bane of my existence.
This is where having a partner comes in handy. You can start something and hand it off and have them add something which inspires you to add some more, and then before you know it you have too much stuff and you have to start ...

Difficulty Finishing Music
I'm curious to know how many of you out there really struggle to finish your music to a degree you're happy with.
Of course there's the whole 'a piece of art is never finished, it only arrives at a destination' thing...
However, I'd say I consistently have difficulty finishing music to a level I'm ...

Re: Unwanted Delay on Return Channel
Hey Tone Deft,
Yeah. The reverb, when used as a return effect doesn't produce sound immediately. There's a short delay. As an insert, no problems though.
Had forgotten about the PDC option..Thanks.
The delay is quite short as per your example (tapping on a table quickly). possibly 50-100ms.

Unwanted Delay on Return Channel
I'm sure this has been discussed before but couldn't easily find an explanation in the archives.
I recently decided to use my Reverb (EasyVerb) as an insert effect rather than in the customary return fashion. (Live v6)
The serial version sounds lovely and just the way i'd expect it, however using ...

Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a tool that exists that does this:
I'd like to slice really tiny slivers of audio from a huge array of different samples and and stitch them together to create longer blocks of something new.
By tiny I mean, milliseconds to half a second range approx. I ...

Re: Field recording?
What do all the cool kids use these days? Zooms? I want something that's extremely
portable (not heavy and bulky), easy to use and with an easy way of
transferring files to the computer. And not too expensive.
I watched these clips with Ben Burtt just now, and that man always manages
to amaze and ...
