I've got an Akai APC40, and the latest allowed version of Ableton Live 8.3.5 (64 bit).

It seems the lights aren't working on my APC, in correspondence with the samples I've got on my live screen.

what gives? Do I have to BUY Live 9 to get this working?

What messed up my system was installing the LAME codec for another piece of software, Audacity. I had to uninstall that, then I installed Quicktime and everything is back to working 100%
