Sampler and NI Kontact Sound Pack question

I keep reading that there may be a way to import sound packs for NI Kontact into Sampler. Is this possible? If so, has anyone done this and been successful?

If I use the ASIO driver that comes with my FW soundcard SampleTank becomes unstable, especially if I use multiple istance. If I stop and play in fast sequence I have 60% probability to crash Live. If I use MME drivers for Soundblaster chance is reduced a lot, I can almost call it stable. Didn't ...

In the meantime I have been programming with the WACOM SDK and noticed that it is really a child's play to add native support for WACOM tablets to any App (pen2live is only a hack which modifies the mouse messages which Windows sends to Live). In less that 15 minutes I had direct access to all ...

I have the Intuos3 A5, and I'm very happy about it. There is also a wide version of it which sometimes I wish I had since I now use a widescreen monitor, but there's really no good justification to get the wide version if you have the standard one.

One thing I have not tried is to span my desktop ...

What I do:

I have several virtual busses running to handle ins/outs to hardboard compressor and a telephone interface. There is a real danger of the telephone interface creating the same phasing problem you are talking about. This is caused by a loop-back being created within the DSP chip.

How to ...

Could you try out my "work around" and let me know if it solves your problems?

Thanks,

Need help verifying the problem

Hi folks.

I've run into the same problem with ST2. I think I've isolated the problem but could use a couple more people to make sure. It would be nice to have at least 3-5 more people.

In Live (I'm using 6.0.3) change the audio input and output to E-DSP Wave [ECE0] DX. This is E-MU's DirectX ...

I'm cross mixing using the 1820m's DSP

It's not that hard once you wrap your head around the convoluted way that PatchMIX virtualized the "bus". I don't have time to explain (gotta run out the door), but I'm putting this here to remind myself to explain it when I get back.

I'm having a separate problem with memory leaks in the 1820m's ...

Why is it good to have no fan? I thought it was better to have fans...

Every hard drive should have a fan blowing across it; however FAN = WHITE NOISE. The noise put off by a computer makes it hard to really hear your mix, so I can see why you wouldn't want a fan.

A better solution is a water ...

I use BFD, padKONTROL, and a Muse Receptor. It is quite possibly the best vitual kit I can find. The Receptor off-loads the sampling from the main computer. I still capture the MIDI events on the time line, but the Receptor is doing all the sampling for me. I have to patch the Receptor back into the ...
