Re: Clip background color in arrangement view
Just digging in on Live 10, loving some of the new stuff!! Found this thread, so I thought I would resurrect it in hopes of getting clip opacity added in an update, since there are now clip colors (which look great). The way it seems now, the colors make it more difficult to see the waveform ...

Re: Dedicated mixer
I too think an updated mixer would be nice. Actually the only thing I miss is the possibility to see all inserts on all channels, like it is possible in so many other DAW's. My idea: Make a button, that changes the clip view from displaying clips to displaying the fx-inserts. The layout could stay ...

Bitwig-Style Plugin Crash Protection
I think it would greatly solidify Ableton LIVE's position as the DAW-leader for live applications, if it wouldn't crash everytime a plugin has a problem. Bitwig has this feature, that when a plugin crashes, it doesn't affect the DAW as a whole, but disables soley the plugin that crashed. I'd like to ...

I'm working hard on making 'clunkiness' go away, so at some point will not be able to tell the difference anymore between C++ code and Max code.. (if there would be no edit button that is...).

Re: Choose differnt filter circuit types in EQ Eight
The new plugin I'm working on will have multiple non-linear circuits to choose from for each section independently, as well as a clean mode that behaves like a regular linear EQ so you will be able to do both tone EQ as well as regular clean EQ tasks all from a single plugin.
Hej andy. First let ...

Choose differnt filter circuit types in EQ Eight
Since Live 9.5, the Auto Filter Effect and many instruments such as simpler, sampler, etc. offer the user a wide range of different filter circuit designs. For me that's the best thing about Live 9.5. To have so many different filter "flavours" just a click away, without the need of having to open ...

Re: bit depth when routing audio through ableton
If these words don't mean much to you, or you are not sure what the meter means then probably don't do this. You'll just confuse yourself. If so just know "at least 32bit, and often 64 bit"
I do know some of these words :)
I also remember reading somewhere, that ableton (and many other DAW ...

bit depth when routing audio through ableton
Hi there
I'm using ableton in a live situation where ableton is a kind of a giant effects-processor. For example I'm routing my guitar into a motu interface, then process it in ableton and then send it FOH. My question is at what bit depth is my audio processed? How I understand it, the bit depth ...

Multitrack quantizing
Please implement the ability to quantize multiple audiofiles together. It's a pain to always go back to Pro Tools/Logic to quantize multitrack Drum recordings. Manually quantizing it is just too time consuming!
Would really appreciate that. Thanks!

Re: Bugs with the new Ableton....
I really enjoy the new ableton but I'm sending 10 bug crash reports daily... Don't know what the problem is, but I'm scared to use Live 9 for my live performances... I think the best I can do is sending these crash reports in!

Hi there
I'm looking for some Operator (could also be instrument racks) presets with focus on FX sounds (Rainddrops, winds, machine sounds, etc.) and haven't found anything yet. Any tips?
Thanks!

Expression Pedal doesn't seem to be linear
I got my Yamaha FC7 Expression pedal and connected it to ableton. I'm able to map the pedal to any knob or slider but it seems that if I push the Pedal down the changing of the value isn't linear.
Let's say I have a knob with values from 0 to 127. My Pedal is at minimum position, value is at 0. I ...
