I think it would greatly solidify Ableton LIVE's position as the DAW-leader for live applications, if it wouldn't crash everytime a plugin has a problem. Bitwig has this feature, that when a plugin crashes, it doesn't affect the DAW as a whole, but disables soley the plugin that crashed. I'd like to see the day, when I don't have to pray each gig that no plugin will have a random hickup and bring the whole damn show down with it...
If an implimentation such as Bitwig's, costs more CPU, it would be great to have an option whether to run vst's in normal-mode or in "sandbox"-mode. I for one don't care giving up a bit of CPU in return for finally leaving the reason of 99% of my crashes behind.

Yeah that doesn't help when your project crashes on stage....pencilrocket wrote:But Live has project recovery function.
