Re: Pitch Shifting in Simpler/Sampler
Like a classic sampler ie: faster the higher it goes up, slower the lower it goes down. I look forward to having the option of keeping time locked. hth I checked the manual but couldn't find an answer to this. When you play a sample at different pitches in Simpler or Sampler, how does it shift the p...

Re: Global bpm changed involuntarily
Good advice- also make sure there are no scenes named 145BPM (thats how bpm automation works with scenes right?)chango blanco wrote:Check if you have any audio clips set to "master" or "slave"
Delete any BPM autoamtion on the master channel (if any was recorded)

Re: Global bpm changed involuntarily
Check the clip properties- change the tempo in there to 120, hope this helps. Also, get the latest version of Live 8.2.6 I believe, lots of bug fixes! Hi, i'm having a little frustrating problem on live 8.1. maybe a bug i'm working on the sound design of my film, where i work from scene to scene fol...

Re: Live 9 Anytime?
2 years with live 8 already? Money well spent! Thanks Abes! for some (not me) maybe 6 months. "what a long strange trip it's been." back when releases where more regular I remember a trend of odd numbers being the blingier releases, or was it the even numbers? :? there was a trend. I got ...

Evengy: I worry you're headed for another burnout just like on the guitar. My advice (and it's worked well for me & I'm a burnout candidate as well) is to find 3 or 4 things and split you time amongst them. Eventually I end up frustrated with my lack of development (between guitar, synthesis/msp...

Re: Retarded marker behavior in arrangement view ?!?!?
Yep, depends on quantize setting. Answer, disable looping, cut time between tracks and don't hassle with location markers to begin with.
Edit: I do agree with you it shouldn't do that, but I just don't see it as a deal-breaker for live situations as you do.

Re: Max for Live Manual
How do I actually get to the Max help? Is there a manual? I really want to have a lot of words thrown at me to get some ideas of what Max does before I go diving to the tutorials. It's accessed from the "Help" menu in the toolbar at the top of your screen. The Max manual is integrated int...

Re: Max for Live Manual
It does kind of show why printed documentation isn't ideal though, 2310 pages and of course non of the links are clickable once it's printed. There's always this . Not read it myself, £38 seems a bit steep. I have that book, its freaking awesome for a Max noob such as myself. Can't wait to get M4L.

Re: Quit playing guitar
Wanna sound good? There's an Effect Rack in Live 8 called Guitar Hero, it's absolutely amazing, I jam a good hour on that every now and then. Record it and listen back to what you actually played, and laugh. Wow you guys really know how to motivate someone. Some of your comments are inspiring. I thi...
