Re: EIC & Session Drums in Live 7 vs. Live 8? Any diff?

To add onto this question, I have been using the Live 7 Suite for sometime now, and I want to upgrade to the Live 8 Suite. I already have Session Drums and the EIC, but I'm hoping that I'll still be able to use those instrument packs when I upgrade to Live 8 Suite. Is this possible or do I need to ...

Did you get the problem fixed? I'm having similar issues lately with 7.0.10?

Set markers and rename in Clip view

It would be nice for Digital Scratchers like myself to have the ability to cut up clip samples live using set markers. For example, being able to set a marker on a .wav that sonically converts to "Hello". Then I would be able to know what word/words I'm tearin' up without having to memorize the .wav.

Pitch Control on Simpler

The ability to set absolute parameters for pitch (either +7 / -7 or whatever).

I understand that this is possible with Sampler, but it would be nice that it came with the basic package for all of those keyboard-whammy enthusiasts.

Pitch Wheel!!!!! HELP

I play out a lot. I also love to swank out my Pitch Wheel. I use Reason 2.5 rewired into Live 6. I am now trying to stray away from using Reason when I play out to conserve memory.

When I use Simpler, it seems I can't control the amount of Pitch. It's always set to 7 steps +/-. I could try to MIDI ...

Have you checked your soundcards? You might have interference between the two. Mine did that for some reason, so I just disabled the other soundcard (MMX). I use a M-Audio Fast Track USB.

Hope this helps!

Also run a search for SpeedSwitch for all you Windows-ers. I run that and it helps keep ...

Oh man. Supahtriggggggah is the shite. I use it all the time when I play out. It's rad when you assign it to a kit and assign a key to turn it on and off. It's even better taking a vocal sample or MIDI input and choppin' it up without cutting a single bit.

Much love to the Supertrigger.

Mixer

I had the same dilemma when I started playing shows with my laptop. I was lucky and got a behringer mixer (802). Most people have an .mp3 player or CD player these days. I just input my iPod into the mixer and fade up previously arranged transitions.

It's mostly ambient or sampled jargon, but it ...

PDX

Yagga Yagga.

Portland has a ton or rad electronic music/musicians. I'm not gonna be that guy too much, but I'm trying to be one of them.

Here's a couple places I've played and am booking to play that are down with the whole laptop/electronic music thing: Pi-Rem, Holocene, ACME, Aura, White Eagle ...

Value Control on a Pitch Wheel in Live 6?

I've been working with Live since 4.1.4. I'm not a master, but I know a lot.

I've been using Reason 3 as a re-wire and want to stray away from it because it takes up so much memory. I've been using Simpler more and more and love it (especially the Instrument Rack)!

My main problem is that when I ...
